Cloud Cyber Security Solutions Architect
Contract Term: 8 months, with possible extension

Tasks / Deliverables

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements elicitation and documentation in various formats (i.e., User stories, Business Requirements Document (BRD) etc.) for considered alternatives;
  • Translate business requirements into technical data specifications and analytical models;
  • Perform business analyses of functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows;
  • Evaluate existing procedures and methods, identify and document items such as database content, structure, integrated application subsystems;
  • Analyze and map the existing business model and the operations, identify areas with scope for improvement;
  • Analyze and evaluate existing business process;
  • Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems;
  • Establish acceptance test criteria with client;
  • Develop and establish service level agreements;
  • Assist in the formalization of business process standards;
  • Support and use the selected organizational methodologies;
  • Assist in the development of organizational methodologies and tools;
  • Analyze and develop of business success "critical success factors";
  • Analyze and develop of architecture requirements design, process development, process mapping and training;
  • Responsible for leading other functional staff to define business strategy and processes in support of transformation and change management activities;
  • Participate in change impact analysis and change management activities;
  • Participate in organizational realignment;
  • Coordinate development of training and coordination with other stakeholders;
  • Create presentations and present to various stakeholders and facilitate meetings and discussions.
  • Document data definitions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards;
  • Clean, transform, and model structured and semi-structured datasets;
  • Validate transformations across Bronze / Silver / Gold layers (Databricks/lakehouse);
  • Perform data reconciliation and identify discrepancies;
  • Create and manage test datasets to support development and testing;
  • Support data quality validation and reconciliation processes;
  • Maintain documentation for dashboards, pipelines, and business rules;
  • Define test scenarios covering business use cases and edge cases including integration and nonfunctional requirements; and
  • Work closely with Delivery/Integration Lead for UAT coordination and readiness. This includes creating test cases, test data creation and conducting UAT

 

  • University Degree or College Diploma in computer science, information security, engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of recent demonstrated experience in information technology or cyber security, including cloud environments
  • A minimum of three (3) years of recent demonstrated experience as a Cloud Security Architect or senior cloud security specialist in complex, regulated environments
  • Demonstrated experience assessing current-state cloud security posture and defining target-state cloud security architectures
  • Demonstrated experience designing and governing cloud security controls (e.g., IAM, network security, data protection, logging and monitoring)
  • Demonstrated experience identifying security, risk, and compliance control gaps and recommending risk-based improvements
  • Demonstrated experience developing cloud security standards and reusable security architecture artifacts (reference architectures, patterns, building blocks)
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of cyber security and risk frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SP800-53/61/92, and ISO/IEC 27001/27002
  • Demonstrated experience applying cloud security and shared responsibility models (e.g., CSA Cloud Controls Matrix, CIS Benchmarks)
  • Demonstrated knowledge with enterprise and security architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA)
  • Demonstrated experience aligning cloud security architectures with regulatory and supervisory expectations (e.g., financial services risk management)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of third-party and cloud risk management practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud provider security across Azure and hybrid cloud environments
  • Relevant certifications would be considered an asset (e.g., CCSP, CISSP, CISM, AWS/Azure security certifications)



Requirements

  • Security Clearance: Must be eligible for Reliability level Federal Security Clearance (generally requires 5 years of residence in Canada)
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada


Language Requirements

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required for this role.
