Hourly Pay

Tasks / Deliverables Summary of Role The Life-Cycle Material Manager Technician (LCMMT) will provide specialized support in the management of Defence equipment throughout its lifecycle. This includes cataloguing, maintaining, distributing, and disposing of equipment, analyzing technical requirements and failure reports, and ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of Land C4ISR and Military Command and Control systems. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and providing guidance for decision-making at various organizational levels.
Key Responsibilities
Apply recognized process frameworks or LCMM Handbooks to manage equipment lifecycle processes.
Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP) to catalogue, maintain, and coordinate equipment distribution and checklists.
Evaluate and provide solutions for deficiencies in Technical Failure Reports (TFRs) and Unsatisfactory Condition Reports (UCRs).
Analyze Statements of Operational Requirements (SORs) to inform lifecycle management strategies.
Review Technical Data Packages (TDPs) to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Plan and execute equipment demilitarization and disposal activities.
Prepare technical documents, including requirements, specifications, checklists, bulletins, reports, proposals, and equipment disposal plans.
Develop briefing notes and presentations addressing technical and logistics issues.
Liaise with stakeholders to support lifecycle management of equipment.
Provide technical advice and recommendations to support senior management decision-making.
Requirements
Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Must have 72 months experience in the last 96 months experience in 6 of the following:
Applying process frameworks or LCMM Handbook for lifecycle management
Using ERP systems for equipment cataloguing, checklist maintenance, and distribution
Evaluating and resolving Technical Failure Reports (TFRs) and Unsatisfactory Condition Reports (UCRs)
Analyzing Statements of Operational Requirements (SORs)
Reviewing Technical Data Packages (TDPs)
Planning and executing equipment demilitarization and disposal
Preparing CDRLs, reports, specifications, checklists, and equipment disposal plans
Developing briefing notes and presentations
Liaising with stakeholders on lifecycle management
Providing advice and guidance to senior management
Security Clearance:
Must be eligible for Secret level Federal Security Clearance (generally requires 10 years of residence in Canada)
Education:
Bachelor of Science or suitable technical field (preferred), OR
Alternatively, a College Diploma in Electronics, Computer Technology, or relevant technical field, or demonstrated Qualification Level 6B (QL6B) in a relevant technical field with a minimum substantive rank of Warrant Officer in the Canadian Forces
Language Requirements
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required for this role.
