MS Exchange Specialist
Tasks/Deliverables
Our client requires a MS Exchange Specialist to work on upgrading Exchange from 2016 to 2019 and assisting with Exchange migrations.
The new team members will be working concurrently with different clients and handling multiple activities, ensuring that all necessary tasks are completed seamlessly and within the project timeline.
These roles are highly hands-on and require experienced professionals who have executed similar tasks for other clients. Successful candidates will be those who can swiftly integrate into existing work environments without a lengthy onboarding process.
MS Exchange Specialist
- This role is designed for individuals that will be actively participating in hands-on tasks.
- Exchange migrations, upgrades and patching, implementation and management of email policies, security protocols, and compliance measures.
- Collaborate closely with Clients and SSC Teams (Email Operations, Cybersecurity, Support, Technical Architecture, Business, Project Managers etc.) on all related activities
- Implement and enforce security policies as per SSC standards.
- Participate in designing and deploying Exchange Server solutions, including on Prem and hybrid configurations, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Provide support and technical guidance to projects that require Exchange expertise.
- Manage and optimise Exchange Online platforms.
- Work together with the support team to address user-reported issues and provide L2 and L3 Support.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and conduct root cause analysis to avoid future occurrences.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and workflows for the purpose of internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Level II (Secret) Federal Security Clearance.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange environments, particularly with Exchange 2016/2019 and Exchange Online.
- Comprehensive understanding of Exchange architecture, including hybrid, on Prem, and online (ExO) deployments.
- Proven track record of successfully completing Exchange migration projects from on-premises (legacy) Exchange to Exchange Online and with Exchange Upgrades.
- Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting for automation of administrative tasks specific to Exchange management.
- Ability to quickly and effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange Server administration, email security technologies, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- In depth knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and network protocols associated to Exchange.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and cloud-based Exchange solutions.
Preferred Requirements
- Expert-level certification in MS Azure and Entra-ID, preferably in Cybersecurity or Architecture.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 services beyond Exchange.
- Previous experience with government clients would be an asset

- These roles are remote positions, to be filled by individuals residing within Canada (no work from abroad is allowed)
