Azure Cloud Architect

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Architect to design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure modernization, and security best practices. This role requires hands-on experience with Azure services, cloud migration strategies, and enterprise cloud solutions, along with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-performance, scalable cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud architectures on Microsoft Azure.

  • Develop and execute cloud migration strategies for enterprise applications and data.

  • Provide technical leadership on Azure best practices, including networking, security, identity and access management (IAM), and cost optimization.

  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployments.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security regulations, and organizational policies.

  • Conduct cloud assessments and recommend suitable Azure services based on business needs.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, architectural diagrams, and technical guidelines.

  • Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and optimize performance, scalability, and resilience.

  • Stay updated with emerging Azure technologies and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and engineering.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Storage, Azure Functions, and Azure Active Directory.

  • Strong knowledge of networking, security frameworks, and cloud-native application design.

  • Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

  • Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, and compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC 2, NIST, etc.).

  • Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills to interact with stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (strongly preferred).

  • Experience in data engineering, AI/ML solutions, or cloud-native application development.

  • Familiarity with multi-cloud architectures (AWS, GCP).

  • Hands-on experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
