RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Project & Portfolio Team including: planning of project activities on regular basis or as required, tracking status of deliverables and milestones; supporting the adoption of the project lifecycle and deliverables; projects level risk and issue co-ordination; monitoring the status of projects transitioning to operations; coordination of the regular project and programme level reporting cycles; co-ordination of project Governance arrangements, Post Project Reviews, Programme level workshops as required
  • This is a client-centric role which requires the candidate to engage clients on regular basis, at times be embedded with the client’s organization or a unit
  • Additional responsibilities include assisting the P&PO Manager with defining and updating the project management processes, standards and governance, assisting Project Leads (PLs) on projects, contributing to overall delivery in support of quality and best customer service
  • Provide project support, when this is the case this will include, amongst other things, ensuring project plans and project documentation are complete and up-to-date, provide regular project status updates, help acquire the necessary resources and skills, and contribute to the delivery of business systems to meet identified business requirements.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5 + years of Previous experience working as a Business Analyst
  • Experience leading project planning activities, engaging & building relationships with clients, supports Project Leads
  • Experience leading functional support across existing application portfolio by understanding how the business works, in order to identify areas of improvement (problem areas), and to work with the business stakeholders to identify suitable solutions
  • Experience leading discovery sessions to document business objectives in order to understand business drivers behind information system requests on large projects
  • Experience leading workshops to gather functional requirements, user requirements and non-functional requirements in order to clarify business needs on large projects
  • Experience leading vendor discovery engagements on new and existing products, evaluates usefulness, and makes recommendations with regard to their "fit" within the existing architecture
  • Experience reviewing & delivering required system documentation (requirements, user guide, process manual, use cases, presentations, etc.)
  • Experience utilizing a Business Analysis methodology with standardized deliverables required by the SDLC and / or Project Life Cycle
  • Must have Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability clearance
 
DURATION:  5 Months + Possible Extension
