Newfound Recruiting is looking for a Secret Cleared Programmer Software Developer for our Federal Government Client for the following tasks:

Service Management

 
  • Meet and engage with stakeholders (e.g. Common Services team, development teams, IT security, IT system engineers, program portfolio business clients, etc.) to ensure requirements, issues, deliverables, etc., are understood and effectively delivered.
  • Engage, support and clearly understand the requirements of project on-boarders, ensuring follow-up for efficiency and satisfaction. 
  • Review the configuration and design as well as performance of the SOAPS infrastructure, including the IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway, and recommend corrective actions to the platform configuration and design to optimize the design and to support the SOAPS service level objectives are met.
     
Solution Development – ESB (IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway) SME
  • Review the SOA Security design and architecture. Recommend the approach to implement the security design on IBM Integration Bus, IBM Data Power Gateway and supporting infrastructure.
  • Develop Test Cases for testing security on IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway.
  • Define configuration policies and settings for IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway as well as define the command set to configure security in accordance with the security architecture and design.
  • Review all documented applications, processes and patterns for solutions that will be hosted on IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway to ensure that the design and architecture will meet the security requirements for the project and aligns with Government of Canada (GOC) requirements for security and privacy including encryptions, zoning, and security control objectives.
  • Develop a framework to facilitate on-boarding by projects to IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway.
  • Develop IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway Test Applications to support load and performance testing.
  • Work with the CBSA IT Technical team to define and document IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway development guidelines and best practices.
  • Review and support creation of Architecture Design Specification (ADS) and other required documents for solutions that will be hosted on IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway.
  • Provide support, such as advising on proper coding syntax and semantics to be used in the construct of core IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway based solutions, to the development teams.
  • Support CBSA IT engineering and Shared Services Canada teams in conducting IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway validation and sizing tests.
  • Identify, analyze (e.g. resource requirements) and develop IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway based solutions. Develop the design based on the significant System Requirements Specifications (SRS).
  • Monitor industry trends, ensuring that the IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway based solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology.
  • Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions that address business issues ensuring that requirements are fully considered and approved prior to acquisition.
  • Ensures the integration of all aspects of technology solutions in the detailed design. Document all constraints, assumptions and key architecture decisions.
  • Describe and document graphically the application and administrative component views for IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway based solutions.
  • Review and advise stakeholders on technical questions regarding IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway (e.g. Restful vs SOAP, Security options, selection of asset).
  • Review options and provide a recommendation for the integration of line of business applications to IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway.
  • Review and comment on the infrastructure requirements for IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway to ensure the service has: the right availability, network connectivity, security solution, hardware resiliency, system recovery, access control, data manipulation and reporting.
  • Review on-boarders requirements and ensure an alignment to the SOA canonical data model. Apply data transformation strategies as required to ensure compliance.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of programs by preparing sample data, and testing them by means of system acceptance test runs made by operating personnel.
  • Correct program errors by revising instructions or altering the sequence of operations.
  • Define and document interfaces of legacy systems and refactor the interfaces to the SOAPS infrastructure.
  • Identify and document system specific standards relating to programming, documentation and testing, maintaining SOAPS service libraries, canonical data model, etc.
  • Mentor developers related to coding IBM Integration Bus and IBM DataPower Gateway based solutions.
  • Provide instructions to the team on how to recover from error handling.
Verify workspace structure, packaging and release strategy in a Linux Environment.
