Systems Analyst

  • Identify and propose solutions to business and systems,
  • Providing advice and solutions to identified gaps
  • Define business requirements taking costs, benefits and risks into consideration
  • Translate complex requirements into efficient use cases and test scenarios
  • Working with management team members on tracking projects and implementation of projects
  • Ensure system performance, availability and business continuity
  • Maintain and prioritize lists of bugs and known issues
  • Work with the end users to identify power users
  • Provide/maintain appropriate training/training material to end users
  • Oversee the hand off of new systems and services to the maintenance team
  • Ensure standards are being met and appropriate documents are being maintained
  • Apply appropriate quality assurance methodology and ensure the business is guided through user acceptance testing
  • Ensure adequate production monitoring of scheduled tasks and that escalation processes are defined and followed
  • Provide level 2 support on all assigned systems 
  • Maintain understanding of primary product/technology assigned and a basic technical understanding of integrating products 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, B.Com, Computer Science or related field. Or experience in related field for 5 – 7 years
  • 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or related field
  • Knowledge and experience with product lifecycle management, SDLC and data modeling
  • Experience developing technical business requirements, operating procedures, and training materials
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing (French and English)
  • Experience with JustEnough (allocation and planning system) and Data Masons (EDI system) is an asset
  • Experience working with inventory management systems, an asset
  • Retail experience is an asset
