Project Manager

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the project using an iterative and collaborative approach (Agile methodology) during development, implementation, and operations startup, ensuring that resources are made available and that the project is developed and fully operational within previously agreed time, cost, and performance parameters.
  • Formulate statements of problems and work with the development team to establish procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new, or modified project elements to solve these problems, reporting ongoing changes to stakeholders as required.
  • Define and document the objectives for the project; determine budgetary requirements, composition, roles and responsibilities, and terms of reference for the project team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a minimum of ten years of experience, within the last fifteen years as of bid closing, as a Project Manager in an IM/IT environment.
  • Must have managed one public sector project, including the following:
    • Involving multiple stakeholders.
    • Requiring project oversight in a Project Management Office (PMO).
    • Leveraging Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) policy and guidelines on project management, including project gating.
  • Must hold a valid PMP, ITIL, or PRINCE2 Project Management certification.
  • Must have a Government Secret Clearance.

DURATION:

  • 2 years plus 2 option years.
