Responsible for the successful integration and installation of hardware and software solutions for the final customers.
Responsible for the installation, physical racking, cabling, labelling of Windows and Linux servers and the configuration of the software to use.
Perform initial diagnostics and testing of hardware, software, network issues.
Utilize resources to repair product issues that may be encountered during build and installations.
Provide timely solutions to help build and sustain a positive rapport with clients.
Post-secondary education computer science / electrical related
3+ years of Server and Desktop PC technical support experience within a LAN/WAN environment.
Proven ability to troubleshoot OEM hardware appliances.
Understanding of relational databases (MS SQL Server is an asset), Backup Solutions, Web Servers, Web Application Servers.
VMware vSphere: Certified or familiar with Install, Configure, Manage V6.5 & V7.0
Rack-stack and networking experience will be considered a strong asset.
Eligible for Secret Security Clearance for the Federal Government of Canada.
Availability to work on-site and travelling internationally when needed.
Strong technical troubleshooting and customer management abilities.
Feels comfortable working independently.
