Building Systems Technician

Description 1VALET is looking for a Building Systems Technician to join our fast-growing team. In this position, you will work with customers and contractors to install and service our clients building automation systems. This includes programming, installing, testing, re-commissioning, diagnosing and troubleshooting and repairing the 1VALET entry system and other integrated systems.   Requirements - Must be located in the Greater Toronto Area - 2-4 year college diploma and/or industry related technical field experience - Experience with CCTV Systems, Access Control systems, software, networking and device testing - Ability to work safely and maneuver in a variety of construction environments - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Have a valid Ontario drivers license and safe driving record - WHMIS certified   Nice to have - Experience and familiarity with Provincial Safety statutes and basic applicable building codes, regulations - Experience working in an early phase start-up - Bilingual French/English   Responsibilities - Assist in the planning phase of retrofit and new construction bids - Assist in the planning phase of showroom and new office installations - Complete drawings of smart component locations on blue-prints - Installation of smart components, including but not limited to: cameras, access control, entry console, door locks, security system, water valve, blinds, lights, parcel delivery locker, network rack, intercom - Coordinate with a variety of subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time to the highest standard - Perform software/hardware calibration required for proper equipment and system operation - Complete project commissioning documentation - Research and test the latest devices that we will integrate in our platform - Support and validate the commissioning of our solution done by our integrator partners - Maintain internal inventory for parts and tools. - Attend service calls as required, troubleshooting and repairing problems - Communication with residents, concierge and property management about issues - Provide smart-component training to residents, concierge and property management - Consistently achieving on or above-target NPS (net promotor score) - Following all health & safety best-practices, wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE)     Perks and benefits you will get - A supportive team and meaningful work - Personal and professional development - Work/life balance and flexible working hours - Remote work and work from home opportunities - Unlimited vacation and personal days - Office shutdown from Dec 25th to Jan 1st - Competitive compensation structure and GRSP - Stock option plans in a fast growing tech company - 100% company paid healthcare benefits - Company Social (-ly Distanced) Events
