Review facilities related data reports from various tools on critical incidents or changes and compile a list of recommendations for site closures.
Support site evaluation to determine priority sites for closure.
Perform analysis on move feasibility, cost benefit savings and prepare overall project cost estimates
Support development of standard project plans and oversee plan delivery to transform/move/close data centres.
Draft requirements to extend the life of mechanical & electrical equipment at these locations if required.
Ensure all service level commitments and deliverables to partners are met.
Identify opportunities for process streamlining to ensure repeatable/scalable processes.
Liaising with external SSC support groups and partners to ensure smooth project delivery.
Track and report on a weekly basis the Projects status.
Experience working as a team member on at least three (3) IT Service related DC Facility projects
Experience providing support in an operational Data Centre context implementing changes, racking and stacking and cabling various IT equipment.
Experience working in the Government of Canada.
The proposed resource must demonstrate 5+ years experience (in the last 10 years) providing support in a Data Centre specifically to DC equipment moves.
The proposed resource must have 3 years’ experience in communicating plans and strategies to management and employees.
The proposed resource must have three (3) years’ experience in planning IT Service Management (ITIL) implementations in a large data center environment defined as a site that consumes 100 KvA of power or more.
The proposed resource must have two (2) years’ experience in the implementation of IT Service Management (ITIL) projects.
The proposed resource must have a valid GOC Secret security clearance.
DURATION: 2 years (with two 1 year options)
