ERP Test Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES Leads the planning, monitoring, and control of the testing activities and tasks • In collaboration with other stakeholders, devises test objectives, organizational test policies, test strategies and test plans, and other supporting documentation • Leads, guides and monitors the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test suites utilizing cloud-based test management/defect management tools • In conjunction with the vendor, oversees testing workshops, problem reporting, defect management / tracking and documentation of functional and non-functional test results • Throughout the testing life cycle, schedule tests for execution then monitor, measure, control and report on test progress, product quality status and test results, adapting test plans and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions • Management of integration, regression and system testing to detect software errors and validate that software is ready to be put in production • Leads user acceptance testing and coordination of acceptance testing with the project • During test execution, and as the project winds down, write summary reports on the status of testing, including degree of completion and test results • Provide test status reports to project team, stakeholders QUALIFICATIONS 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance Bachelor’s degree in business, IT/computer science or relevant work experience Expertise in software development life cycle (SDLC), software testing life cycle (STLC), and quality assurance (QA) / quality control (QC) methodologies Hands-on experience with test management, defect management, and automated testing tools and processes (e.g. SpiraTest) Strong experience in black-box, white-box, functional, integration, smoke, and regression testing Public utility industry experience and ERP Systems experience is highly preferred DURATION:  7 months + possibility of 3 one-year extensions
