Intermediate Business Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and maintains use case documents or design specifications and inputs for the organizations Analytics Support Center, comprising of information requirements, technology, and procedures across the Command, preparing status reports, briefing notes and synopses on the Analytics Programme for senior managers.  Activities related to the development and maintenance of the organizations Analytics solutions for use by senior managers and the community in accordance with the Analytics Program Implementation and Strategy. Provides advice and recommendations to colleagues, recommending options on how best to proceed with an analytics project, initiative or requirement and determines their potential impact on the organization. Assist with the coordination and project planning activities for the Analytics Programme and their integration with the IM Programme.  Participates on project teams and working groups, including acting as a team member with Command/departmental representatives and other DND departments / agencies, tasked to determine options and decide upon the best course of action to advance or implement individual analytics projects.  QUALIFICATIONS: 3 of last 5 years experience working closely with Business Warehouse tools, recording, analyzing and confirming Business requirements in functional specification documents use cases. 3 of last 5 years experience in Bobj suite of tools Working knowledge in the last 5 years of Lumera and Power BI Strong understanding of SAP Business Intelligence and SAP Data Warehouse Experience working in SAP Data Warhousing concepts , design and construction of dashboards. Bobj and/or BI Certification Must have Government of Canada secret clearance University degree in a related field. Related fields are defined as Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Information Technology, Math or Economics. DURATION: 1 year contract plus a possibility of extension
