Project Executive

Requirement:   The senior project executive must provide project oversight and advice to various project Technical Authorities, branch directors, and project managers to ensure that the various project initiatives are structured correctly, have appropriate tools and are managed using best project management practices, so that the projects can be delivered optimally, within the scheduled timeframe and budget   Tasks: Provide objective and independent advice to project directors and other senior management representatives. Contribute to improve business processes, information flows, reporting mechanisms and procedures to support projects among several multidisciplinary groups. Provide an action plan to improve organization’s project performance compliance ? Aid in developing and implementing project management policies, processes and procedures. Provide strategic assistance in support of project delivery. Assist in the development and maintenance of project management support tools. Help optimize the utilization of resources among projects and reduce the constraints to increase the organization’s project performance. Provide guidance for projects and programmes centrally to achieve the organization’s strategic business objectives. Submit deliverables that include: Reports; Business Cases; Presentations; Diagrams; Project Budgets; Policies and procedures; Project plans and Other project deliverables as required   Qualifications: A minimum of 10 cumulative years of experience as a Project Executive or Senior Project Manager, including 5 years in a federal government organization Experience mentoring, coaching and/or training project managers in the project management discipline. Experience developing a project risk management plan and managing ongoing strategic risk log assessments in areas such as change management, human resources management, stakeholders’ relationship management and vendors’ management. Experience creating, updating and reporting on project schedules using MS Project Experience monitoring and reporting on project costs. Experience chairing and conducting meetings (face-to-face or virtual) with senior management (director level or above). Experience working on projects using an Agile development approach. Experience working on projects with complex mandates. Experience using Business Intelligence (BI) software to produce reports. Experience performing EVM functions as a designated primary project manager Must have a university degree (full degree) from a recognized university. Must hold a certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 Must be a Certified Management Consultant (CMC). Experience with ITIL Foundation training. Should be a Certified Scrum a Master. Bilingual - English and French Security cleared to Reliability
